Helo guys! I recently got an order from my aunt to make a card for our church’s deacon’s ordination to an elder. I was asked to make a masculine card. Gosh, such a tough card, such a grand formal event, I had to control myself from using ANY of my cute stamps. And that’s truly the challenge of this card.
I first start off by white embossing an elegant frame on my watercolor cardstock. I then have fun playing with my smooching techniques, playing with watercolor, blending different shades of brown! I also used I ONLY brown distress ink–Vintage Photo.
Still wasn’t too satisfied with the splashes, I smooched up more darker shade of brown on the cardstock. I also die-cut some Tim Holt’s and Poppy’s alphabet dies with a plain white cardstock. And finally, I cornered the edges of the cardstock and stuck in on a piece of dark brown cardstock, which I then stuck onto a white cardstock.
And tadah!! A masculine card, without any cute stamps! I am so proud with how this turned out!!
Hope you enjoyed my post, have a great week ahead!!
